How it works
Built around your people. Proven by data.
We do not hand out a generic plan. We build a structured programme that meets each athlete at the right level, coach them through it across training, nutrition and lifestyle, and measure the progress so it is proven rather than assumed.
The core principle
Built around the starting point.
Not everyone starts in the same place. Someone who has never trained needs a different pathway to someone with a strong base who wants to step up.
So we build one group programme with pathways that flex to different starting points, shaped around the demographic of your workforce. It is not one-to-one coaching, and it is not a single plan handed to everyone. It is the right level for each person, within one programme.
Groups typically follow one of three pathways: getting more active, fitter and healthier; preparing for an event such as a 10k, half marathon or Hyrox; or a bespoke programme negotiated around what your organisation needs.
The approach
Three pillars, one programme.
Lasting performance is built on three things working together: how you train, how you fuel, and how you live. We coach all three, in step.
01
Training
A structured, periodised plan that takes each athlete from their starting point to their goal.
02
Nutrition
Fuelling that fits the training and real life, guided by our team and tracked simply.
03
Lifestyle and behaviour
Building the habits and identity of a fitness-focused life, with accountability and education.
Pillar one: training
A structured journey, not random hard sessions.
Each athlete follows proven endurance periodisation, the phased structure coaches use to take athletes to a start line. It is delivered and adjusted in TrainingPeaks as they progress.
-
01
Preparation
We ease into training and prepare the body to work. Movement quality, consistency and general conditioning, set at the right level for each athlete. This is where the routine takes hold.
-
02
Base
We build the engine. Steady aerobic work and foundational strength, developed patiently over weeks. The base is the biggest and most important block, and the foundation everything else is built on.
-
03
Build
We add the specific work. Sessions sharpen toward each athlete's goal, with harder, more targeted training layered onto the base they have earned.
-
04
Peak
We sharpen and arrive ready. Volume eases while quality stays, so the athlete reaches their goal fresh and firing, not flattened.
Recovery is planned into every phase. The body adapts when hard work is followed by rest, so rest is part of the plan, not an afterthought.
Pillar two: nutrition
Nutrition that fuels the work.
Training is only half of it. Nutrition is built around the programme so the two work together. As the training changes through the phases, so does the fuelling: enough to support the work, and aimed at each athlete's goal, whether that is body composition, performance, or both.
It is guided by our performance nutritionist and tracked simply in MyFitnessPal, so it fits a real, busy life rather than demanding a rigid diet. No food is banned. We build habits the athlete can actually keep.
Periodised to the training
Fuelling shifts with each phase, so the athlete is always eating for the work in front of them.
Built for real life
Simple, flexible and tracked in MyFitnessPal. It fits around work, family and the rest of life.
Guided, not guessed
Our performance nutritionist sets the direction and adjusts it as the athlete and their goal change.
Pillar three: lifestyle
Lifestyle and behaviour change.
A programme that ends when the plan ends, has failed. The lasting wins come from changing the behaviours and habits around training and nutrition, until a fit, healthy life is simply how the athlete lives.
That is why we call everyone we coach an athlete. When you see yourself as an athlete in training, the healthy choices stop being a chore and start becoming who you are.
A personal accountability framework
Clear goals, regular coach check-ins and honest tracking. The athlete owns the plan, and we keep them to it when motivation alone would not.
Education that builds knowledge and habits
Practical learning so habits are understood, not just followed. Some is delivered as modules in the Wayfinder app, at the athlete's own pace. Some is delivered live, through a series of group online seminars.
Measured, not assumed
What gets measured, gets managed.
Progress is tracked against testing checkpoints and shown on the Performance Radar, a simple visual profile of each athlete's key markers. As they retest, the profile grows, so improvement is proven rather than assumed.
For organisations, this rolls up into clear, anonymised reporting on how your workforce is progressing.
Performance Radar
Illustrative profile. Markers shown develop over testing checkpoints.
Use cases
A goal is the engine of change.
The pursuit of a real performance is what brings about lasting fitness and lifestyle change. Pick the goal that fits your people, and we build the programme around it.
Train for an event
A 10k, a half marathon, or a charity challenge in the company's name. A shared start line gives your people a reason to train, builds camaraderie, and leaves everyone genuinely fitter once the medal is in the drawer.
A fitness reboot
For people who have let things slide. A structured restart that rebuilds energy, strength and the habits of a healthy life, so they feel capable again rather than just busy.
Chase your best parkrun
Parkrun has become a realistic pursuit for many. Chasing a personal best over 5k turns a Saturday morning into a clear, repeatable goal that keeps people training and shows progress week on week.
